Weather maps show Midlands set for heavy rain this week during ‘Spanish plume’

Britain is bracing for heavy rain and widespread thunderstorms this week as a ‘Spanish plume’ weather system is forecast to bring significant downpours to 20 counties in England and Wales. Some parts of the country could see around 90mm of rain by Friday, offering relief after drought declarations.
